Coating chips off

I can't believe that this has not been fixed. I have not been able to use my mixer for dough for years because coating on the hook that came with it chipped. I tried getting an uncoated hook, but not available for the bowl-lift version. Very disappointed!

I just a mixer that came with this very dough hook. Is this what I have to look forward to? I don't want to have to check every batch of dough that make with it for chips; and I certainly don't want to eat of them. Can you replace this with one that is not coated please? I'll be happy to return this one. I do not get a good feeling regarding this particular dough hook.

I've had two mixers and this hook always chips within a year. I hate it.

The same story here. After 2 years of regular use: making bread primarily, the paint chips pretty badly. I am surprised to see such a badly designed accessory on a overall good quality appliance.

I had my mixer for less than a year when the white coating on this attachment started to flake off. I have always been precisely careful to ensure the attachment doesn't scrape the bottom or edges of the bowl. Product should be stainless steel, in my opinion. Not impressed.

Like the other two, the white enamel coating is coming off which is a concern that chips will get into food. I contacted KitchenAid and they suggested the hook is hitting the bowl. Definitely not the case. Tried to buy a stainless hook and was informed they don't make it for the lift mixers, only the tilt.

We have had the Kithcen air stand mixer for a year now. The dough hook coating came off in the first 6 months. Bought another one and same thing. They should only only sell stainless steel hooks to go with the stand mixer. The coating should never peel off especially when only thing you are mixing is flour dough!
